About the Item

This rather large antique Asian covered jar is unmarked but believed to have been made in China in circa 1880 for the export market. The jar is done with a robin egg blue background with hand painted vignettes around the perimeter with cherry blossoms around the lid. The figures on the sides are replicated on the lid.
