About the Item

Circa 1890-1912 Cloisonné covered jar, Chinese, Qing dynasty. Richly colored burnt red ground with turquoise black ground bands. Illegible chop mark. Three tiny nicks on shoulder cover. Provenance: Dr. John Fryer Collection, London Chapel Hill. Condition commensurate with age and use. 8.75" h., 5.25" dia.
