Eight 1960s Blue Italian Empoli Rossini Glass Decanters
By Empoli
Located in Antwerp, BE
Colorful set of 8 glass decanters with geometric design, made by one of the many glass manufacturers based in the region of Empoli, Italy. Has "Made in Italy" embossed on the base. Would make a great addition to any collection! Excellent mint condition, no chips. One in a kind matching set.
Spectacular set of eight 1960s blue Italian Empoli pressed and blown glass. Mention Italian glass and probably everyone’s mind immediately leaps to Venice and Murano. But there is another almost equally famous centre of Italian glass making known as Empoli.
Empoli, a region where there were many glass companies, on the west side of Italy, southwest of Florence, has been producing and exporting glass since the 14th century. The trademark color "Empoli blue...

Green Opaline Jadeite Glass Trumpet Vase, Empoli Italy, 1960s
By Stelvia, Empoli
Located in Glasgow, GB
An elegant pale green opaline glass trumpet vase, attributed to Stelvia of Empoli, Italy, likely produced as part of the Opalina Fiorentina range, circa 1960s. This mid-century vase is a fine example of jadeite glass—a softly translucent type of opaline glassware popularised by Stelvia and echoed in the work of Murano glassmakers during the same period.
Handblown in mint green opaline glass, the vase features a classical trumpet silhouette: a flared conical body tapering into a rounded base, poised on a slender stem with a gently splayed foot. The opaline surface captures ambient light beautifully, producing a softly luminous, milky glow characteristic of the Stelvia opaline glass from this era.
Measuring 18 cm in height and 12 cm in diameter, the vase is in very good vintage condition. A single, pinpoint chip to the outer rim is visible only under close inspection and has been clearly documented in photographs. There are no cracks, repairs, or clouding to note.
It works beautifully as a standalone glass accent or grouped with other Italian opaline glass vessels in complementary pastel shades such as lilac, baby blue, or alabaster. A timeless piece for collectors of vintage Italian glassware...

Mid-Century Empoli Floor Vase in Smoked and White Striped Glass, Italy, 1960s
By Empoli
Located in Glasgow, GB
A tall and quietly commanding Empoli floor vase, handcrafted in Italy during the 1960s by Cristalleria Artistica Toscana, a glassworks known for its creative approach to mid-century glass decorative arts. This piece is formed in smoked optic glass, a distinctive medium in the Empoli tradition, accentuated by swirling white candy-stripe bands that spiral upward with subtle motion.
The shape is restrained yet architectural: a tall cylindrical form with softened curves and a smooth, level rim—classic attributes of Italian modernist glass design from this period. Measuring 49 cm in height with a 14.5 cm diameter, the vase is proportioned for use as a floor-standing decorative piece, but is equally suited to consoles, mantels, or pedestal display.
Whether used as a vessel for dramatic floral arrangements or appreciated on its own as a mid-century modern glass sculpture, this piece speaks to the Empoli region’s legacy of innovation in blown art glass during the post-war era. The smoky transparency of the glass and the hand-applied white striping evoke movement without ornamentation.
In very good vintage condition, free from chips or cracks. A strong collector’s example of vintage Italian glassware...
