About the Item
A classic English biscuit barrel in solid oak with silverplate lid, handle, and shield detail. Cylindrical form with a warm, aged finish and visible grain. The metal elements add contrast and give it that proper old world utility feel.
The interior is porcelain, made to keep contents fresh and protected. Originally used for biscuits. Now perfect for kitchen storage, bar tools, mail, or as a sculptural accent on a shelf or console. The oak shows wear from age. The silverplate has a soft patina. All the right signs.
