In very good condition for its age and use, this collectible piece of Chinese porcelain measures 33 cm in height with a diameter of 23 cm, making it a striking piece to display.
Finely decorated in the sought-after Famille Noire style, it features a vibrant palette of pastel-hued enamels in violet, yellow, pink, red, and turquoise, all beautifully contrasted by jet-black enamel atop white underglazed porcelain.
Encircling the jar’s rotund body are four decorative cartouches, each depicting symbolic Chinese figural scenes: blooming peonies and peaches in lush green foliage, ceremonial scenes featuring temple figures, and other intricate motifs.
