About the Item

Decorate a bathroom, vanity, or powder room with this elegant collection of fourteen apothecary containers. Crafted in France circa 1960, each clear glass jar features its original lithographed paper label with floral and figural motifs, advertising soaps, perfumes, and lotions from celebrated Parisian perfumeries including Victor Vaissier, Laperruque, and J. Locard. The set includes both tall cylindrical bottles with glass stoppers and shorter wide-mouth jars with domed lids, offering a pleasing variation in size and shape. The labels display vibrant Art Nouveau and Belle Époque designs, with charming illustrations of cherubs, blossoms, and decorative typography, making them not only functional but visually striking. Each container remains in excellent condition commensurate with age and use. This complete ensemble is ideal for collectors or decorators seeking a sophisticated accent for a vanity, display cabinet, or boutique interior. Their nostalgic charm and authentic French provenance make them a conversation piece for any room. (Apothecary is one term for a medical professional who formulates and dispenses "materia medica" to physicians, surgeons, and patients. In addition to dispensing herbs and medicine, the apothecary offered general medical advice and a range of services that are now performed by other specialist practitioners, such as surgeons and obstetricians) Largest Measures: 9" Diameter x 16"H Smallest Measures 2"W x 1.5"D x 6.75"H
