About the Item

A traditional double-handled terracotta cooking olla with a rich, aged patina. The exterior features a raw, matte terracotta finish, while the rim and interior are glazed, making it suitable for cooking over an open fire when placed on an iron tripod. Its rounded base reflects its historical use in European kitchens, where such pots were essential for fireplace cooking over centuries. The darkened patina on the bottom area is the result of exposure to fire, adding to its authenticity and character. The earthenware or terracotta pots or jars add a timeless decoration to the home and garden. Beautiful as interior or exterior garden decoration. In beautiful weathered condition. We specialized in antique and 20th century ceramics, glass and objects, like lamps, side tables, stools, mirrors, etc. Please check out our storefront ¨Gorgeous Vases¨ for more items in this style.
