About the Item

An elegant and most decorative French late 19th century Louis XV st. Ormolu and Agate plateau/tray. This wonderful footed display plateau showcases all original gilding, and is raised by four scrolled Ormolu supports. The sunburst designed Agate center is fitted within an arbalest shaped Ormolu frame with scrolled foliate designed handles at both ends. The frame has an elegant scrolled shapes with cabochons and wave like designs throughout.
