About the Item

Wedgwood black basalt jardiniere, made in England around 1900. The jardiniere has a floral banded border above fruiting grapevine festoons terminating at lion masks and rings with Muses below. Rare large size measuring 9 inches tall and 9 7/8 inches in diameter. Embossed "Wedgwood" on the bottom.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Good vintage condition. Some slight dicolorations on outside, moderate discoloration on outside bottom (can t be seen when up right). Inside bottom has some watermarks. A factory flaw smooth chip on the bottom lip, there are no other chips or cracks.
