About the Item

We are is delighted to offer for sale this lovely pair of vintage faux marble painted Corinthian Pillar pedestal stands A very well-made pair, they are vintage midcentury circa 1940s, they have what's called marbelled paint which is faux marble painting, this was the height off fashion in the Regency and early Victorian era, it showed you were fashionable These are very decorative looking pedestals and would display anything with style and charm, antiques, taxidermy even plat pots. The timber has all been cleaned waxed and polished, there will be some age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect, some old timber shrinkage splits, the tops sit at slightly different angles Dimensions Height:- 116cm Width:- 38.5cm Depth:- 38.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
