About the Item

A handsome pair of French 19th century Neo-Greek st. black Belgian marble and Ormolu urns/tazzas. This wonderful pair are raised by a circular mottled and concave marble bases with a top bullnose edge. Above is the circular socle with a tapered fut. The two urns are finely decorated by outer foliate bands leading to the two geometric handles. Inside the urn is a central medallion with a lizard atop additional foliage. Wonderful quality and rich chasing throughout.
