Crafted in southern France using traditional techniques, each vessel is formed in terracotta and finished in a beautifully aged whitewashed patina, subtly weathered with hints of natural terracotta, and soft green accents. These large urn-shaped jardinieres rest on a circular plinth base and feature the iconic Anduze silhouette. Classical garland swags wrap the body in relief, anchored by medallions and decorative bands that evoke 18th-century French garden design. The name La Madeleine à Anduze is impressed into the body, certifying the authenticity and artisanal heritage of the pair.

A pair of mid to late 19th century French terracotta garden urns with cherubs after a design by Claude Ballin (1615-1678). An almost identical depiction in bronze resides in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles. This pair were sourced from an estate in Scotland.
