About the Item

A Very Fine Pair of Regence Style Gilt-Bronze and Rouge Griotte Marble Jardinières on Stands. Each jardinière has a scrolling foliate frieze above a tapering rouge Griotte marble urn with acanthus cast lower section, with turned knop and vine terminal. They are supported on triple lion-paw monopodiae, each headed by an Apollo mask, hung with floral festoons and with a central lozenge-pierced band and with secondary urn below. French, Circa 1870.
