About the Item
This Victorian cast iron revolving arm plant stand is a striking example of antique craftsmanship and enduring design, seamlessly blending functionality with ornate visual appeal. Featuring a central vertical post anchored by a heavily detailed tripod base, the stand showcases eight delicately curved arms that spiral upward in a staggered formation, each one supporting a lacy, flower-shaped holder. There are ten holders in total, each formed with openwork scalloped edges reminiscent of blooming petals, offering just enough depth to cradle small potted plants or votive candles. The entire structure is coated in a timeworn layer of white paint, now beautifully distressed and flaking in areas to reveal the iron beneath.
Natural oxidation has lent the piece a richly mottled patina, with areas of rust layering into the original finish, creating a look that is both romantic and raw. As evidenced in the attached photos, the structural integrity is now fully intact and the item is in great condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Aged to perfection, the piece features a heavily distressed patina with significant surface rust, chipping, and peeling original white paint, giving it an authentically timeworn appearance.
