About the Item
Collection of eight planters from the Carrara series, designed by Wilhelm Kåge and produced by Gustavsberg in Sweden during the 1940s.
Named after the famous Italian marble, the Carrara line is celebrated for its soft matte white glaze with subtle tonal variation, evoking the texture and luminosity of natural stone. Each vessel displays Kåge’s masterful balance of sculptural form, restrained elegance, and modernist simplicity—hallmarks of Swedish Grace design.
The collection includes various shapes and sizes, from cylindrical and flared forms to more architectural silhouettes. Together they form a cohesive yet dynamic composition that beautifully illustrates Kåge’s ability to fuse craft tradition with modern expression.
