About the Item

Early 19th Century French matched pair of traditional Biot pots. With weathered yellow ochre glaze to the rim and interiors. Circa 1820-30. The village of Biot (on the Côte d’Azur near Antibes) was famous for the quality of its pots which were mainly used for storing olives.
