About the Item
A 40 cm tall handcraftedl full bodied sculpture , part of the Volcanic' series. Following the form of a vessel, it is entirely closed, serving as a purely artistic statement rather than a functional object. Created by RinDesign in scagliola technique in a unique way , the surface is built up section by section with multi-pigmented composites , gradually shaped, sanded, filled, and polished. This process results in a striking interplay of smooth and textured areas, like an abstract painting brought to life in three-dimensional form. The organic, rugged quality of the sculpture is reminiscent of volcanic rock, while the refined finishes lend it an alchemical transformation.
With rich colour variations and organic, volcanic-inspired form, this sculpture stands powerfully on a plinth as a vibrant solo artwork or can be elegantly incorporated into curated collection of assemblage on a table or a unit.
