A Pair of French Ormolu Mounted Variegated Marble Cassolettes, 19th Century Description: Each peche d’alap cassolette topped with an ormolu pineapple finial surmounting the dome top with a band of rising leaves, sweeping downward to the moulded shoulders, a frieze band of alternating pierced circle and foliate pattern and a pair of opposed ram’s heads above further mounts of floral and foliate swags and ribbons, joined by foliate ormolu lappets to marble socle encased in an ormolu band, raised atop a square marble dais. Provenance: Private Western Australian Collection. Dimensions: Height: 54.5cm Width: 19cm. Depth: 15cm.
