About the Item

Paris Porcelain floral wedding urn. Wedding tureen Paris Porcelain gilt painted lidded and handled covered presentation dish with soldier mask handles, Pegasus finial and all gilt base supporting 61/2” diameter bowl painted with pink chrysanthemum, pink and white carnations and interior with the bride and groom handshake of “Union, friendship, and sincere faithfulness for life” inscribed on banded ribbons. Lid features purple gomphrena and yellow straw flowers to either side of the intended’s initials “SA” “LC”. France, 19th century. Dimensions: 8” to top of finial; 8 1/2” wide handle to handle ; 4” to rim of bowl; bowl is 6 1/2” diameter rim and 3 1/2” dia base.
