About the Item

A spectacular, highly adorned, Sèvres style urn, skillfully hand painted with garden scenes of maidens and putti on either side amidst brightly colored flowers, foliage, scroll forms and a few small portraits framing them. Doused in an iridescent glaze and flanked by two gilt bronze goddesses carrying baskets bursting with garlands. Finished with raised gold painted ornament that contrasts the smooth porcelain beautifully. signed ‘Ch. Fuchs’ Origin: French Date: late 19th century Dimension: 43" x 20" x 18"
