About the Item
Hand-made French ceramic jug or vase, produced in the 1950s or early 1960s. The piece has a rounded, asymmetric silhouette with an integrated handle that gives it a sculptural presence, working equally well as a small vase or as a decorative object.
The surface is finished in a yellow, grey, and beige glaze with a subtle mottled texture. On each side, a stylised deer is painted in warm tones with graphic black foliage, recalling the aesthetics of mid-century Vallauris ceramics. The base is marked as handmade and signed.
A compact, visually distinctive ceramic suitable for display on a shelf, console, or desk. In good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use.
