About the Item

Dress a table or a console with this elegant antique black forest center piece composition. Crafted in Switzerland (or France) circa 1870, the glass vase rests on a leafy branch shape over a tree trunk. The base is decorated with hand carved motifs including a pair of goats resting and grazing on rocky ground and foliate. The crystal vase with scalloped rim is decorated with engraved etched floral and leaf motifs throughout. The composition is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, with extremely fine details, and adorns a rich walnut patina. A wonderful addition for any ranch style house or hunting lodge! Measures: 9.75"W x 6"D x 11"H.
