About the Item

Beautiful and rare pewter beaker by renowned Danish silversmith and designer Mogens Ballin (1871–1914), a central figure in the Scandinavian Art Nouveau movement. This piece is an excellent example of Ballin’s early metalwork, showcasing his signature hand-hammered surfaces, organic shapes, and stylized monogram. Stamped with Ballin’s early hallmark, this beaker not only reflects the influence of his close collaborations with Johan Rohde and Georg Jensen, but also hints at the broader European Jugendstil aesthetics. Perfect for collectors of Nordic decorative arts, Jugendstil, or early modernist design.
