Rare Enameled Glass Vase by Adrien Mazoyer, Moulins, France, 1920s.
A stunning and rare enameled glass vase by Adrien Mazoyer (1887–1950), crafted in Moulins, France, during the vibrant Art Deco period of the 1920s. This large vase features richly detailed polychrome enamel decoration with stylized roses, showcasing Mazoyer’s mastery of hot enamel techniques on glass.
Height: 6.9 in. (17.5 cm)
Diameter: 6.5 in. (16.5 cm)
Signature: Signed “A. Mazoyer France” on the underside (see photo)
Condition: Excellent vintage condition
Origin: Moulins, France

About the Artist:
Antonin Adrien Mazoyer was born in 1887 in Le Creusot, France, into a family involved in earthenware, porcelain, and glass trade. After artistic training likely at the Beaux-Arts and early work decorating glass lampshades in Paris, Mazoyer returned to his hometown post-World War I and developed his unique enamel technique.
Self-taught in hot enamel on glass, Mazoyer’s innovative process combined artistic experimentation with commercial success. Throughout the 1920s and 1930s, he produced exquisitely decorated vases and cups featuring floral and geometric Art Deco motifs in vibrant polychrome enamels.
His work was recognized nationally, including exhibits at the 1925 International Exhibition of Decorative Arts and the 1937 International Exhibition of Arts and Techniques in Paris. Mazoyer maintained studios in Paris and continued creating until his retirement around 1940. He passed away in Moulins in 1950.
This Adrien Mazoyer enameled glass vase is a rare collector’s piece, embodying the innovative spirit and refined artistry of French Art Deco glasswork.
