About the Item
Sculptural Work of Art in blown Murano glass signed by Alberto Dona, a sophisticated overlaid piece worked with the incalmo technique, the black glass bottom part topped with a red upper part decorated with white geometrical Murrine. This piece is precious for the translucence of the red glass that creates transparencies and for the different "battuto" areas, hand chiselled, that add pattern and texture.

Alberto Donà
Alberto Donà, born in Italy in 1944, began working in the glass field at the age of 13 and became known for his ability with colors and creativity in generating unique combinations, hence his valued collaborations with important companies such as Venini, Saporiti that have relied on Donà for glass accessories. In October 2001, he had a one-man show at the Vassel Art Gallery in London. He was selected to furnish the lighting for the Hiroshima Memorial Museum.
