About the Item
Antique Awaji pottery vase in light green crackled glaze overlayed with a geometric pattern of brass weaving. The brass has darkened to a warm brown patina. From the kiln of Tamura Kyuhei in Awaji Island's capital city of Sumoto, circa 1910. Impressed double diamond mark to the base. 7 5/8" high, 4 1/2" diameter. Two small areas of glaze "chew," as shown.
