About the Item
Stunning Pair Traditional Bulbous Form Victorian Period Blush ground twin handle vases with trumpet shape neck and rim of superb quality made by renowned English porcelain factory Royal Worcester. Last quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
The main outer porcelain body superbly hand painted in colours depicting Summer Flowers and a beautiful Butterfly. The twin handles modelled as an Imp wearing a curled hat or headdress.
Height: (entire overall as shown in image one) 8.25” (21cm). Width: (at widest across handles) 4" (10.25cm).
Condition: Superb condition with no losses, no wear to gilding at high points. Good clear markings which date for 1894.

Royal Worcester Porcelain was established in England in 1751 by Dr. John Wall and 13 partners, creating a porcelain factory that became known for its high-quality tableware and figurines, receiving a Royal Warrant in 1788. The company faced decline in the early 20th century but revived under D.W. Dyson Perrins before ceasing production in Worcester in 2006 and closing in 2009. Today, the Royal Worcester brand is part of the Portmeirion Group, specializing in luxury tableware, though production no longer occurs in Worcester itself.
