Japanese Meiji Art Nouveau silver vase, ca 1890. Ovoid with plain and spread foot, scalloped mouth, faceted neck, and shoulder with eddying-water rim. Body stippled with profusion of irregular and windswept chrysanthemums in relief. Marked. Very good condition. Modish exoticism for the sophisticated West. Marked. Weight: 8 troy ounces.
