About the Item
A vintage Japanese urn shaped enamel over copper vase. The exterior of the vase is adorned with hand enameled panels depicting butterflies, cranes, a Phoenix bird, surrounded by floral, swirl and foliate scroll ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. The neck of the ware is decorated with floral, foliage and geometrical patterns made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa: 19th century.
