About the Item
An exceptionally fine pair of English Staffordshire Porcelain mantle vases now converted to electric table lamps of medium proportions, Circa 1860.
Of traditional bulbous outline with a central reserve hand painted with old fashioned Summer flowers and roses on an emerald green ground.
The entwined and scrolling twin handles applied to shoulders of main body.
Condition: Superb condition, except for wear to gilding in porcelain at high points especially on handles, see image, the ormolu bases have been professionally re-gold plated. Professionally re-wired using three strand electric cable. Back views are decorated with unusual bows and scrolling details.
Measures: Height (entire as shown on 1st image) 15.25" (39cm). Width (across arms) 6.25” (15.75cm). Diameter (base) 4.75" (12cm).
