About the Item

Handblown glass vase from the Pavone Series with red, blue, white, and green transparent color decoration around and yellow rim by Anzolo Fuga for Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.V.E.M.), Murano Italy, 1957-60. Reference: Rosa Barovier-Mentasti, Anzolo Fuga, Murano Glass Artist, Designs for A.V.E.M., Acanthus Press 2005, section titled "Pavone" (“Peacock”) starts with a description of the series on page 97 with multiple examples on pages 98-112. Provenance: Evan Lobel purchased this piece directly from A.V.E.M. in 2001 as part of a large collection of pieces stored there from the 1950’s and 60’s.
