About the Item

This stunning Art Deco vase was created by hand in Czechoslovakia (what is now the Czech Republic)- a region renowned for producing some of the finest glass and ceramic ware of the period circa 1930. It features sinuously curved spirals in mottled tones of rose quartz and sapphire, as well as undulating white bands in a crawling craze. Additionally, there are scalloped and reeded forms in dark slate that recur throughout the curved cylindrical body of the piece. With its beautiful artisanal construction and vibrant color palette, this vase would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Art Deco to contemporary. While it is a perfectly functional vase- ideal for presenting flower arrangements- it is also an objet d'art in its own right that promises to add a touch of elegance to any surface that it graces. The piece is signed "Amphora Made in Czech-Slovakia" on the base. Czech Republic, circa 1930. Dimensions: 7.75" diameter x 8.75" height.
