Elegant and simple hand thrown and with a brown glaze with a subtle band of contrasting color by Herbert Sargent who was a TV and movie writer who worked on the Johnny Carson Show and Saturday Night Live. BIOGRAPHY
Randy was born in 1913 and died in 1997. He obtained his MFA, Master's of Fine Art, at Alfred University in 1937 and was Instructor of Industrial Design 1949-1951, and Instructor in Pottery 1951-1956. Randy was nationally known for his paintings and ceramics, named the nation's CERAMIC ARTIST OF THE YEAR IN 1949 BY NEWSWEEK MAGAZINE. His career was dedicated to art and the creation of the Hartsville Museum.
