Big collectible vase with ice cube effect in glass from Limburg 1970
Superb white frosted effect vase designed and manufactured by Limburg in Germany in the 1970s. Handcrafted glass giving the illusion of an ice cube effect. Magnificent collectible and decorative item. Very good state of conservation with no gaps or chips.
Clear cast glass and decorated with a series of spikes, geometrically radiating from the surface of the piece. It was likely made during the 70's and is originally from Germany.
It is preserved in extremely good conditions: all spikes are intact, and there are no signs of chippings, cracks or dents. Only minor signs of the time (like hairlines and patina) are visible throughout, and they do not compromise in any way the appearance of the piece.

The present vase is indeed an example of this latter school: designed by Erkki Vesanto, whose signature is clearly legible behind the base, it’s a “Sommerso” grey and clear vase, with a thick vase and a very fine construction.
It is extremely well preserved and a wonderful decorative touch for your special interior. Will look great on a coffee table, console or bookshelf.
