About the Item
Set of five vases by Swedish Lillemor Mannerheim. Midcentury stoneware in organic shape with black glaze. It was designed in 1955 as part of the Mangania series.
The Mid-Century Stoneware is made in "Mangania glaze" by Gefle for Upsala-Ekeby.
Lillemor Mannerheim is celebrated for her glazed and enamelled stoneware. Her stoneware is famous for her distinctive satin-finish black glaze.
Black became Mannerheim’s signature colour and allowed her to express the sculptural aspects of her ceramic forms.
Very good condition with only light signs of wear.
