Beautiful Art Deco /Swedish Grace vase with hand-painted decor. Made by Gertrud Lönegren at Rorstrand in Sweden between 1936-41. Great condition. Stamped 'Rörstrand' and 'HANDMÅLAD. Gertrud Lönegren was a Swedish ceramist born in 1905 who is considered one of the most important figures in Scandinavian ceramics of the 20th century. Lönegren's work is characterized by its elegance. She was a prolific artist and worked for several major Swedish ceramic companies, including Rörstrand and St. Eriks Lervarufabrik in Uppsala. Her works have been exhibited internationally and can be found in the collections of major museums around the world.
