Pair of Brutalist 1970s Art Glass Vases by Kurt Wokan for Ingrid Glashütten
A unique pair of moulded art glass vases designed by Kurt Wokan, then Creative Director at Ingrid Glashütten. Handmade in Germany in the 1970s, the vases feature the studio’s distinctive bark-like surface texture, typical of Wokan’s Brutalist design approach.
The pair includes:
Amber Vase: 23 cm high x 9 cm diameter (approx. 9.05" H x 3.54" D)
Smokey Grey Vase: 19 cm high x 8.5 cm diameter (approx. 7.48" H x 3.35" D)
Both pieces are in excellent vintage condition. Bold in form and rich in texture, they reflect the innovative work being done at Ingrid Glashütten during the postwar design period under Wokan’s direction.
