About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso rich orange and glowing yellow Italian art glass flower vase. Documented to designer Antonio da Ros for the Cenedese company. It still retains an original silver and blue "Murano Glass - Made In Italy" label used for Cenedese pieces. The vase has an oval shape to the body, with a rounded flared rim at the top. Created with a Uranium - UV reactive glass layer. The piece glows a bight neon green under a black light. If you tilt it on its side, the vase actually leans and could be used to display a cascade of flowers pouring from it (see photo). I have not seen many vases that you can do that. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or table. Fill it with fresh flowers for a gorgeous flower arrangement. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room.
