About the Item

This elegant Murano glass centerpiece, dating back to the 1950s or 1960s, was created by the renowned Barovier Toso glassworks. It features a circular shape with a rim decorated with protruding petals; each petal curves outward, creating a dynamic, three-dimensional floral effect. The interior of the bowl is ribbed with rays converging at the center, a characteristic of Murano glasswork. At the base, a rich gold leaf inclusion lends a warm, precious glow. The interior surface appears iridescent, with golden reflections that change with the light. The glass is thick and heavy, a sign of high-quality Venetian craftsmanship. It evokes Ercole Barovier's series with naturalistic elements and gold inclusions. A sculptural piece, ideal as a centerpiece or a luxury mid-century ashtray. A splendid example of rare and captivating Murano glass art.
