About the Item
Ceramic vase realized by Franz Anton Mehlem in Bonn (Germany) between the late 19th Century and the first year of 20th Century.
An elegant ceramic vase with an elongated pear-shaped body tapering to a narrow neck with a flared rim. The body is richly decorated with intricate cobalt blue transfer-printed designs on a white ground. The decoration features alternating panels: one depicting a lush tree landscape, the other displaying a classical urn overflowing with flowers. Smaller cartouches with floral motifs are interspersed throughout, set against a dense geometric trellis background. The rim edge has a brown glaze accent.
