La chevrette ou gargoulette de Jean Gerbino en céramique est une pièce d'exception, très rare à trouver et en parfait état. Cet artiste, né en 1876 et décédé en 1966, a commencé sa carrière en Italie avant de rejoindre l’atelier de Delphin Massier. En 1930, il fonde son propre atelier à Vallauris, où il met au point une technique innovante de mosaïque sur céramique, qui le distingue parmi ses contemporains tels que Roger Capron et Pablo Picasso. Gerbino a su s'imposer dans le milieu artistique de la Côte d'Azur, entouré de personnalités influentes comme Jean Cocteau et Jean Lurçat. Cette œuvre témoigne de son savoir-faire unique et de l’esprit créatif qui a marqué l’art céramique de la région. Posséder une pièce réalisée par Gerbino, c'est détenir intra segment de l'histoire artistique du XXe siècle.
