Chinese export porcelain large rose medallion vases,
Circa 1850-65
The early rose medallion/rose mandarin porcelain vases with a white porcelain ground are of the finest quality with shaped panels to front and back with a blue enamel dragon surround. containing scenes of Chinese mandarin figures. To the sides are smaller panels with similar scenes, the top on in the form of a censor and the lower one in the form of a fruit. The ground with groupings of precious objects with flower and leaf surrounds.
On the neck are pairs of gilt kylins facing each other forming handles. Around the should are gilt dragons to front and back.
Dimensions: 25 inches high x 10 inches wide.
