Vase No_009 is a handmade ceramic ikebana vase part of the Kado Collection “way of flowers”. All elements are the result of experimenting between the shape and the various possibilities of plant arrangement. We drew inspiration from the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging “ikebana,” and seek to capture its essence in our pieces.The core idea is to re-build the spiritual exchange between humans and nature. The vase is fired in bisque ware, without glazing which gives the richness of true ceramic texture. It is recommended to use the vase with dry plants.
The Kado collection is a celebration of the delicate beauty and simplicity of nature. Each hand-carved vase is crafted through a process of experimentation and exploration. We drew inspiration from the traditional Japanese art of flower arranging, or “ikebana,” and seek to capture its essence in our pieces.
Our vases are not simply vessels for holding flowers, but rather, they serve as an organic canvas for the ever-changing stories told by the plants within them. The process of creating a Kado vase is one of intuitive exploration and discovery. We begin by experimenting with shape and the various possibilities for plant arrangement, allowing the form of the vase to emerge organically. As we work, we strive to achieve a balance between the strength and delicacy of the natural world, seeking to capture the essence of life and growth in each piece.
Through the Kado collection, we aim to enable a spiritual exchange between humans and nature, inviting viewers to connect with the present moment and delve deeper into their own consciousness. Each vase serves as a meditative tool, encouraging introspection and self-reflection. Our use of traditional techniques and materials, such as bisque ware, gives the richness of true ceramic texture, and the vases are recommended to be used for dry plants.
