Secessionist Art Nouveau porcelain vase.
Tall highly decorated porcelain vase, created in Czechoslovakia, circa 1920. This beautiful pieces has been crafted in white porcelain having a combination of geometric and organic elements. Designed with transitional mixed patterns of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles.
Measurements: 485 mm by 207 mm by 206 mm (19.1 x 8.15 x 8.12 Inches)
Hallmarks: Stamped in the bottom, with several incised incused stamps with cartouches, such; the maker's mark, the designer's mark and signed, "HAND PAINTED MADE CZECH REPUBLIC 10547 R 63 T-8".
The Secessionist Movement is the name applied to a range of artistic splinter groups that began to emerge in the 1890s. Objecting to what they saw as the inherent conservatism of established academies, these groups 'seceded' or broke away from their parent institutions and launched their own, avant-garde approach. This movement was originated mostly in the Austro Hungarian Empire, countries such Austria and Hungary.
Condition: The overall condition of this vase is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the porcelaine. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.
