Beautiful Scandinavian Modern vase featuring ornamental, delicate handles. Crafted from earthenware with a glaze called 'Grafit,' which displays mingled shades of green and black. Designed by Eva Jancke-Björk for Bo Fajans, this particular vase was produced only between 1939 and 1943, making it a rare and sought-after piece.

Eva Jancke-Björk (1882–1981) was a pioneering figure in Swedish design, whose multifaceted career spanned ceramics, textiles, and graphic design. Educated at the Royal Swedish Academy of Arts, her work is celebrated for its innovation and aesthetic depth, contributing significantly to the development of early 20th-century Scandinavian design. Among her most notable contributions are her textile designs for the Swedish Pavilion at the 1925 Paris Exposition, which showcased her ability to blend traditional Swedish motifs with modernist sensibilities. Her works are in the collections of the Swedish National Museum of Fine Arts among others.
