About the Item
This magnificant flower vase is from the well-known Austrian-Czech manufacturer Amphora, made around 1920.
The vase has a classic shape, a round base and round opening. The light base color is structured by light waves that are interrupted by round and oval shapes. These round and oval shapes are designed like semi-precious stones. Masterfully designed, the semi-precious stones are depicted in cold painting using only colors - in fact, the entire vase is made of ceramic. The entire vase has an extravagant design in pastel colors. On the bottom is the typical wellknown amphora sign.
Measurements approx.: height 10,24 in - 26 cm, diamter 4,92 in - 12,5 cm
Very rare design that comes from a famous manufacturer Amphora, in the exciting time of Art Deco. A very decorative piece with organic shapes fits into any interior thanks to its pastel color.

Fratelli Fanciullacci Majolica Vase with Relief Decor, Italy Mid Century
By Fratelli Fanciullacci
Located in Clifton Springs, NY
Unusual vintage majolica vase with complex glaze in dark Bordeau oxblood red and various shades of grey colors features bands of applied reliefs in shape of abstract, graphic flowers. Top and bottom parts of the vase and bands of relief decor are decorated with gold. Monochromatic white glaze was used on inner surfaces, accentuating the palest grey shades in the main glaze.
The vase is signed on the bottom with model number and "Italy"; while it does not have the usual the manufacturer's mark, "FF", the glaze that was used for this series is well documented to Fratelli Fanciullacci. It was common for Italian ceramics manufacturers to omit marking their pieces with their logos if the they were intended for American or European distributors; instead, they would only mark it "Italy" to allow the distributor to use their stickers, or rarely, they would mark the piece with "studio tame" for "distributor name" if the distributor did not object. Pieces from this particular series were made by Fratelli Fanciullacci with their own mark, for Ebeling Reuss...
