About the Item

Fratelli Cacchione, Fish Vase Milan, Northern Italy Circa 1970–1980 Elegant zoomorphic vase depicting a stylized fish. The spherical body in mirror-polished silver is punctuated by fins and a tail, finely chiseled with a ribbed effect, bringing contrast and movement to the surface. The eye, in slight relief, accentuates the sculptural and humorous aspect of the whole. This piece combines the technical perfection of Milanese workshops with a taste for expressive and decorative design typical of 1970s Italian goldsmithing. Dimensions: L. 36 cm – D. 10 cm – H. 26 cm Weight: 1.22 kg Fineness: 925/1000 silver Silversmith: Fratelli Cacchione - hallmarks FC and ☆39 MI (Fratelli Cacchione, Milan, in use since 1935). Poinçon de récence français : CYGNE Origin: Northern Italy Fratelli Cacchione – Goldsmiths in Milan Fratelli Cacchione (literally "The Cacchione Brothers") is one of the oldest and most prestigious goldsmith workshops in Milan. Founded in the 1880s, it was officially registered in 1935 under the hallmark ☆39 MI, still in use today. Renowned for its luxury goldsmithing and silverware, the house has collaborated over the decades with the greatest Italian brands, including Buccellati, Tiffany Co., Cartier, and more recently Cleto Munari for contemporary design editions. The Fratelli Cacchione workshops combine traditional craftsmanship with formal innovation, producing both classic pieces and modern creations by Italian artists and designers.
