About the Item

An impressive and large scale French 19th century Renaissance st. Sèvres Porcelain and verdigris Bronze vase. This wonderful cobalt blue Jardiniere is raised by a square verdigris patinated Bronze base with pawed supports and a top palmette design flanked by scrolls. The square stepped base displays an acanthus leaf outer trim leading to the circular socle with a top twisted rope design. The large scale Sèvres Porcelain urn is flanked by two verdigris Bronze handles decorated by central female faces above large acanthus leaves. The elegant female masks showcase bottom pearl like necklaces while above them are scrolled foliate handles tied with ribbons. The handles are held by a large double scrolled mounts ending with a foliate design. The mottled top rim is fitted with a pierced and scalloped verdigris patinated Bronze mount displaying a crown like design.
