The Confit Pot is a charming piece of traditional pottery with roots in rural France, particularly Provence. These pots were historically used for preserving and storing confit, a method of slow-cooking and storing food. The lower half of the pot was often left unglazed to be buried in cool earth or stored in cellars, while the upper portion was coated with a distinctive, glossy yellow glaze.
This partial pot has a beautiful yellow glazed and a textured surface. There are very small chips at the bottom of each handle (see images)
