Modernist Solid silver vase round base slightly flared towards the neck plain body flanked by four handles in the transitional style between art nouveau and art deco. Very original piece made at the beginning of the 20th century. Very good condition. Dimensions: height 20.5 cm – base diameter 9.9 cm – neck diameter 17 cm Material: 1st title silver 925/1°°° Weight: 854 grams Hallmark: SILVER LONDON 1916 Goldsmith: Goldsmiths' Silversmiths' Company Ltd 112 Regent Street, Londres Ouest Origin: LONDON/GREAT BRITAIN Biography This large retail jewellery and silversmith business was founded in 1880 at 112 Regent Street. The original partners were William Gibson and John Lawrence Langman. After the absorption in 1893 of Goldsmiths' Alliance Ltd, Goldsmiths Silversmiths Co was transformed into a limited liability company. In 1952, the company merged with Garrard Co.
